Sandi is known for her brilliant splashes of vibrant colours depicting some of her favourite characters in the animal world. Her pieces feature quirky subjects with huge eyes and quizzical expressions, created to steal a smile from the viewer.
There's a story in every painting and viewers can have fun imagining their own versions.
Her early years were spent in the Queensland bush and many of the characters in her work were old friends.
Sandi says of her paintings "I like to think there is a story unfolding behind the scenes and I've captured the characters hatching a plot or deep in thought", she continues to develop her skills and explore her passion and joy for art and sharing it with others.
Sandi spent a very productive time during 2016 painting 17 paintings for the beautifully refurbished Oakey Veterinary Hospital. She held a very successful solo show at Roma Bungil Gallery during April and May this year 2017, which boasted a mammoth effort of over 60 paintings.
Sandi can also be found selling her art around Brisbane and beyond, at the annual Rotary Art Spectacular, The Ekka, Brookfield Show and Macgregor Lions exhibitions.
